In the heart of the “Cidade Alta” in Luanda, on a site once occupied by the now-demolished government court, a new building was erected swiftly to house Office of the Vice Presidency.
The versatility of the structure, which needs to encompass a large variety of areas and functions - from the vice-president's formal rooms to representative offices for the most important state officials to purely operational offices - is evident in its architecture.
The project might be described as 'classic-modern-eclectic': while the decoration is classic, the details and proportions are much more 'free' in style and the large, modular chandeliers and band-shaped decorations on the walls are art decor-inspired.
